She and her team members oversee the performance reporting for Emerald\u2019s live events, content properties, and technology businesses. Beyond the financial oversight of the Emerald portfolio of brands, Melanie leads corporate initiatives to develop innovative customer pricing, internal sales incentive structures, and KPI automation projects, which all help to align the organization with company goals and provide the daily analysis to exceed those goals.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to joining Emerald, Melanie had been leading financial teams for over 20 years in the media and technology industries. Her financial and leadership experience was developed while at major media entities, such as NBC Universal, Viacom, AOL, as well as technology venture-backed startups in the ad tech and real estate technology sectors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Melanie\u2019s education began at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where she completed both her undergraduate business degree, as well as her MBA. Her passion for diversity of experience and culture focused her on international business specialties throughout her education.
